Keep getting calls from this number and they claim to be Amazon but i always disconect as soon as they say that.
Internet claiming to be from BT open reach telling me I have an issue with my internet. Had a very strong accent, so I apologised and said I couldnt understand her very well so I would call BT immediately to find out what the issue was. She didnt have any response to this, will note as annoying as no idea if it would have been a dangerous scam had I not hung up, but as she was telling me to check my router then come back & they would 'fix it' I would assume this is where it was heading!!!

SCAM - received phone call claiming to be HMRC alleging that a tax fraud case has been opened against me. Voice is AI, and encourages you to press '1' to connect to operator. Likely something dodgy happens at that point. Highly doubt HMRC use such a service and probably a scam because, well, Bradford innit.

The advisor said they take on personal injury claims (only the minor discomfort kind). Put me through to their internal solicitors. I confirmed the accident details and was told to sign documents that will be sent by email. Got around to the signing a few days letter and was told my claim will now be processed. Fraud, automated voice claimed that i would be investigated for suspicious activity with my bank accounts. When I answered it promoted me to press 1, i did so but when answered it was just a bunch of people talking in the background in a foreign language.
This is a debt collection company. Often long term or aging debt is sold and the purchasing collection agency makes profit by aggressively chasing that debt. They use any data they can get to bug you typically to begin with by using automated dialers and recorded style messages. They do not check the age of the data or if they do they ignore it.
