SCAM Received a call apparently from O2 asking if my phone service was good. I said it was fine and hung up. Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.
Assumed this was cold calling from Manchester area, on one picked up when I answered.

Almost definitely a scam as it’s very similar to my mobile number with only 3 digits different at the end! I didn’t receive the calls because this can be dangerous.

Claims to be from EE promotions, I thought it was true as I did recently ask EE to call me as I was in the realm for an upgrade. Get CPR CallBlocker for less than ?40, it stops pretty well anything; overseas, unavailable, withheld, private & any displayed numbers too. With capacity for over 1000 numbers it s far better than registering with TPS or such useless companies.
