Very rude woman called. Initially all polite "I m calling from "Eco" - (something I could not hear) - "how are you today"? When I said suspicious of calls like this, she turned nasty - "you re not much of a man if you are scared of a cold call". Beware. Probably scammers.

Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.

20/10/2016: "I understand that you were involved in a car accident in the last two years. Is that right?"

They are from an animal protection charity. I saw advert on tv( Channel 5 I think ) and txted to donate monthly £3. This was the reason they were calling me.

PS: The company name is called 'Get Found First'.

Scammers looking for washing machine insurance renewal premium - bunch of witless thieves - didn t seem to like the fact I called them silly c*nts.

guy with a middle eastern accent supposedly calling from the HMRC? needless to say I didn t give them any personal deets, do the HMRC even do surveys??

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

Keeps calling and hanging up.

Received 3 calls from 0844-3585862 over 4 days. Each time the line is dead - just the "number engaged" sound for about 4 seconds then line goes dead

Its a call centre which is why it seems to be so many different customers, don't answer could be anything from a utility company to a phone to PPI...

This number calls most days, and say they have heard from the advice bureau that someone at this address has had an accident in the last two years. This is not correct so I say definitely not and put the phone down.

Regarding fraud

Appeared to be usual tele-sales marketing call: answer phone and wait while caller connects to you instead of the dozen or so other numbers he is calling at same time. He eventually says "hello" - I say same and he immediately terminates the call. I suspect I was wrong gender. Just BLOODY RUDE!
