Woman called to say "We have been informed you were in a road traffic accident which wasn t your fault, can you tell me when this happened?". I said "Who told you this?" She repeated the above? I repeated my question. She said "The RPA" or "The RTA". I asked if this was an official government agency and she said "Yes". I asked which part of government and she said "Yes". This number and more simular 0161 939 numbers keeps ringing my landline, despite being registered with TPS for 3 years. Everytime I answered the phone to them, it is same storyline again. Some chap tells me that will be receiving a letter in the post about my PPI claim I made. Please do send me this PPI information through the post with the info you have on file, I always tell them that. Can you please confirm your address with me, this chap replies back to me. "No you read what you have about me on file",

They usually work for some third company and call with offer of some goods or services for the actual company they were hired for. In this case the number is mostly reported in connection with Carphone warehouse, seems to be their call center.
