Said they were Mcafee support, handling issue relating to our home "network" which would mean all devices using network (he meant router) would shortly become infected and stop working. Wanted £200 to fix, as our Mcafee didn't cover "network". Said we'd call back and given this number. Subsequently checked with Currys who support some of our tech who confirmed it's a scam

My mother-in-law has just found a charge for ?99.99 on her Barclays statement. I ve just spoken to the bank and they have been 100% helpful and have agreed to refund her ASAP. When mum-in-law initialy went into the bank to query the transaction they told her that it was a holiday company and assisted her to call them. Called me trying to sell something or other - looked on the net and they seem to be cold calling people at random - we are TPS registered - also seen a lot of suspected false positive comments around the net about this company saying how helpful they are - probably written by friends or employees - I didnt apreciate a cold call when I am TPS registered.
