I just got a call from this number. The man on the other end of the line had a rather heavy accent, saying that this was in reference to the call I had with his colleague the past week about an unsecured loan. When I asked for the company name or any other sort of identification, he refused to give me any details. (He wouldn t even tell me the name of the person I allegedly had a phone call with.) I then told him that I would like him to remove my number from their call list, wished him a good day and put t
SCAM / SPAM They claimed to be looking into some fraudulent activity attached to my insurance number. When I asked if they could provide me with my insurance number, they hung up. They had a long spiel about how my insurance number had been used to hire a boat (!?) and found blood and cocaine on this boat later or something like that. Big accusations, clearly nothing to back it up.
Rang me three times this week asking for Mr Woodward. Told them wrong number the first time. The third time she started saying well this call may be of interest to you. I told them no it isn t. At no point did they introduce themselves.
I didn t answer since the call was automatically flagged as "potential fraud". No voice message was left

A recorded voice indicates an outstanding tax issue. Asking you to press 1 to be connected. Failure to do so will result in a warrant for your arrest (on the grounds of tax fraud) being issued. Her Majesty's Inspector of taxes would not phone if there was an issue. They would write to you. They know your address, but fraudsters and scammers like this do not. Do not press to accept the call. if you do they will know the number is in use an probably sell your number on to more scammers.

Sounds like a scam, automated call saying my national insurance number has been used in fraud and about boarder of wales. Tells me to press a number to find out more. I just hung up.
