My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Started with hard sale on Carbon emmisions and he unfortunately has since gone on to invest large sums of money in gems and oil. Portfolio of investment was supposed to go to auction Dec 13. Suprise however - company states had to stop trading as under investigation but investment still safe!! Have since reported to police/action fraud but feer money gone ( life savings). Computer-generated male voice with pre-recorded message advising that it was BT who were today going to disconnect my broadband connection unless I pressed 1 or 2 to speak with an advisor who would "fix up" my problem.

Had a call at 11:27. He said his name was Barry/ Garry and he was calling to renew my Vodafone contract. My contract is not due for renewal for another year! I told him I would ring back. I did not.
These people are SO annoying! They keep ringing me, but when I answer I just get an automated message that says "goodbye" and then they hang up!

This is a PPI scam. Best to listen politely and show interest before requesting that they ring you back on another number. Then give them the number of another known scammer and they should keep one another amused for a while. Suggested numbers of known scammers:- 01935 350190 and 01379 844163. Both these numbers have repeatedly rung me recently.
