This is a PPI scam. Best to listen politely and show interest before requesting that they ring you back on another number. Then give them the number of another known scammer and they should keep one another amused for a while. Suggested numbers of known scammers:- 01935 350190 and 01379 844163. Both these numbers have repeatedly rung me recently.

I suspect it s a fishing exercise to gather info we may seem to think is harmless but gives clues to passwords bank details and so on the first question was who do I bank with and do I bank online I am deeply suspicious of anyone asking about any of my financial details unsolicited as banks don t call asking my details so no-one else should either

Yes, they are still operating and looks like they are having a New Year hunt for more people to con, as several friends have had calls from them over the past few days. I take great delight in stringing them along for as long as possible, listening to them get more and more frustrated as I keep asking questions about their blocking box . *SCAM* This phone number came up as International on my caller ID and claimed to be Ofcom saying our internet would be cut due to lack of payment.

Person called Jack Wells called my elderly parents and tried to sell them a plug in box to stop unwanted phone calls. He had the correct details for them and their address! He asked for all bank details, sort code, acc. number and a password. Luckily they are not that stupid!!

Guy calling himself Michael keeps calling my mothers home and telling her she is owed over ?3000 and to call this number.I have told her it is a scam so now she justs plays dumb and has a nice chat with him until he hangs up.

This number is Premier Training who proved courses for personal training. Invariably call if you have given them your number.
