Said they were calling (my elderly father who lives with Dementia ????) from Domestic & General, which then changed to Legal & General, then back to D&G, wanting to pay a £250 refund and could they just have his bank card details to check…. ???? Fortunately I was there to intercept. Twice when I picked up the phone the line went dead. The third time, a lady said something which included the words "Tax refund" but, despite asking her to repeat herself several times, I could not make out anything else she said as she had a very strong foreign accent. So I blocked the number.
