Totally dodgy! Recorded female voice telling me they were from the security department of your bank calling about a transaction of £600 from my account leaving the country. If I did not authorise this transaction, press 1. There are innocent souls out there who will be drawn into giving their details over the phone. Trust me - I have had to support them while they tearfully called the police and apologised to me for being so silly.

Called my elderly mum lying to her saying her washing machine insurance with D&G was ending. NOT ENDING! Spoke about a direct debit and then tried taking a one off payment from her?!?! From my knowledge in working in contact centres/sales I told her to stop the call and to do some research. SCAMMERS trying to rip off anyone they can. Just another poor sod sitting in a cramped call-centre on minimum wage wanting to know if I d ever had PPI. I let the young lady drone on for a bit, dangling the carrot of a sale in front of her, lulling her into a false sense of hope, before hanging up. Nothing personal, love; I hope you find a proper job one day. Mind you, this PPI call is a symptom of this illness that is modern Britain: a nation of betting shops, payday loan companies and call centres - all thanks to successive Labour and Tory governmen
