Had a call from 01497 874850. From BT Openreach regarding untrustworthy downloads from Facebook / Google. Wanted me to connect to a page on internet to check security has not been compromised. When challenged (ie no problems noticed, I would not connect to any page while on the phone - I would contact BT myself), they hung up. Obvious telemarketing / scamming.

This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases accident claims). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 08437244xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?
