The point of the scam is to find gullible people who will believe what they say. They are crooks who once they find a victim will ask them for personal details and /or credit card/bank details "So we can proceed with our refund to you" They then commit identity fraud or empty your bank account. My 81 year old father was targeted and asked to insure his 4 year old Indesit washing machine. Unwittingly he set up a d.debit which he cancelled the next day, with the bank, when he realised he already had cover. He rang Appliance Serve and told them too, he was asked to put it in writing which he did. He is now getting calls about his non payment and they are threateneing court action as they said they hadn t received a phone call or letter. Total fraudsters targeting the elderly. #scammers
