Got a call today from some guy asking for me by name (which I didn t acknowledge - I never do.) I immediately asked who was calling to throw him off his spiel, unfortunately he mumbled his "company" which sounded like s&l legal? and immediately launched into his sales patter regarding the mis-selling of PPI. I let him ramble on for a few then interrupted him by saying I worked in the banking industry and could run rings round him with regards this. text message claiming you are eligible for a tax return and a link to where you can claim it. the link has 'gov' in it, but it is not the gov.uk site, it ends in .com. didn't click on it, but I assume they are next going to ask for card info then drain your account, so be weary. never, ever click links sent from random numbers claiming to be companies or the gov, they do not operate like this. for tax return you will get a physical envelope in your mail, never earlier than April when they actually close the

"Jack" called from the "Credit Investigation Department"... I asked which company this "Department" worked for, which at first he wouldn t answer. Eventually he said it was a UK Government Agency... When I pressed him further and explained that I signed up to the TPS and he should not be calling me, he told me to "Shut up and listen!". When I laughed at him and told my colleagues around me what he d just said, he hung up (unsurprisingly!)
